The designer created four outfits for the Delhi girl’s wedding to the hottest bachelor of tinsel town, Shahid Kapoor. Anamika Khanna designed Mira’s sangeet outfit, the wedding lehenga and two-party outfits.

For the wedding day, Bipasha picked a traditional red and gold bridal ensemble by Sabyasachi. Her heavy lehenga, as well as the blouse, were beautifully embellished with gold zari work. The beautiful Bengali bride accessorized herself with heavy Kundan jewellery from Jaipur Jewels.

On the day of her Mehendi, Bipasha looked like a fairy princess straight out of a Barbie movie. Dressed in a soft pink-coloured floral Anushree Reddy lehenga, Bipasha looked breathtakingly beautiful. She accessorised herself with a mix of floral jewellery for her hands and hair, and precious jewellery from Jaipur Jewels.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a gorgeous red lehenga by Anuradha Vakil. The breathtaking bridal outfit was covered with intricate gold embroidery. She finished off her look with a pearl headpiece, a vintage choker, and tons of bangles. She accessorized her bridal style with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.

For the wedding, Anushka wore a pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads. The bridal jewellery, handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls, was from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.

Anushka Sharma Mehendi outfit too was a combination of various forms of artworks and techniques – a beautiful amalgamation of the modern and the old. They created a graphic lehenga in fuchsia pink and Indian orange. It was hand-printed by the famed Calcutta block printers and hand-embroidered with gota and marori. Artists from The Sabyasachi Art Foundation rendered a beautiful sixties pop print and it was silk screen printed, hand woven Indian silk.

For her Mumbai reception, Anushka wanted to wear old-world glamour. And so Sabyasachi decided to ‘Jazz’ it up in smoky grey. Award-winning master craftsmen from Lucknow rendered her stunning dupatta which was clinched on the waist with a ‘Bengal tiger’ belt. Anushka’s look was accessorised with a necklace and earrings handcrafted with rose-cut diamonds, solitaires and briolettes from the Sabyasachi Fine Jewelry collection.

As per Konkani tradition, the bride’s saree is gifted to her by the mother for the wedding. Deepika’s wedding sari was given to the designers by her mother Mrs Ujjala Padukone. The sari was bought from Angadi Galleria, Bengaluru.

Deepika Padukone was looking ethereal wearing Advaya pure zari gold Kanjivaram silk saree from The House of Angadi, designed by K Radharaman, for her wedding reception in Bengaluru.

6. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

The one-of-a-kind wedding gown designed by Ralph Lauren was made with 135 satin-covered buttons, 700 spools of ivory thread, 5,600 pearl seed beads, 11,632 Swarovski crystals and 24,12,000 high-lustre sequins. Her wedding gown took 1,826 hours of handwork by 15 skilled artisans to make.

Priyanka Chopra was a stunning bride in a custom red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery created this piece of impossible couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece. As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece.
